W+D Helios 102

This high-speed machine produces wallet-style envelopes (booklets) and inserting-style envelopes, with inner or outer side flaps. According to specific requirements the seal flaps can be provided with remoisten-able, self-seal or pressure-sensitive gumming with protective strip.

The machine can be equipped with up to five flexographic printing units (roller or doctor blade printing units), which can be used optionally for in-side or outside printing, as well as a windowing section.

The HELIOS 102 is equipped with the necessary facilities for fast and easy size changes.

In contrast to a blank-fed machine, the HELIOS 102 has the advantage of automatically cutting the blanks from a reel thereby making optimum use of the paper web width. The windows are cut out by means of one-piece cutters. The separating knife working against a stationary bar simultane-ously shapes bottom and seal flaps. According to the execution of the ma-chine, the side flaps are cut out by rotary knives, fixed size or adjustable size wing knives.

The high output and the possibi-lity of handling light-weight papers have made the HELIOS 102 machine a most interesting and economic machine for the modern envelope factory.
